The trap

You barely used it. Now they want the whole term.

You signed a multi-year field-service platform, the onboarding stalled, and your crews went back to what worked. The invoices kept coming. Ask to cancel and you get a payoff quote for the full term and a warning about collections.

Most owners either eat the fee or pay a lawyer by the hour for a one-off letter. Cleanbreak reads the same contract and shows you what you can actually do about it.

Re: Notice of cancellation and dispute of early-termination demand

We are cancelling the agreement dated Aug 2024. Section 8.3 conditions the early-termination fee on delivered service. Onboarding go-live, required within 45 days under Section 4.2, was never completed, so we dispute the $22,400 demand and any referral to collections.

Hold the line

Coaching through the pushback

The vendor will push back and say you owe the full term. Cleanbreak gives you the line to send and the clause to point to, so a collections threat does not rattle you into paying for software you never ran.

They emailed back: "You still owe the full term." What do I send?
Suggested reply

Keep it short and on the record. Point to Section 4.2: the fee under 8.3 depends on delivered onboarding, and go-live was never completed. Ask them to withdraw the collections referral in writing while this is disputed.

Straight talk

What Cleanbreak is not.

  • Not a law firm, and not legal advice. It reads contracts and drafts letters. For a lawsuit, you want an attorney.
  • Not a guaranteed release. Some contracts have a clean exit and some do not. Cleanbreak shows you which one you have before you spend anything.
  • Not a middleman. We never contact your vendor for you. You review every letter and send it yourself.

Why $49 a month?+

The only tools that read contracts like this are enterprise legal platforms that run thousands a year and over-serve a one-contract problem. Cleanbreak is built for your single agreement. Nothing is charged today.

Is this legal advice?+

No. Cleanbreak is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. It reads your contract, shows your options in plain English, and drafts letters you review and send. For a lawsuit, talk to an attorney.

Will this actually get me out?+

It depends on what your contract says. Some agreements have a clean exit and some do not. Cleanbreak shows you exactly where you stand and what each route costs before you spend a dollar fighting it.

What happens to my email and my contract?+

Your email is used for Cleanbreak waitlist updates only, and you can unsubscribe in one click. We never share your contract or your details with your vendor or anyone else.
